The heat treatment facilities are truly world class in EL FORGE . The facilities are integrated with each press line and some of the facilities can perform more than one type of heat treatment. This built- in flexibility offers large varieties of parts to be done in the press line.
The Heat treatment lines are equipped with
Hardening and tempering (Pusher type) with both oil and polymer quenching facility.
Normalizing (Pusher type) with forced air cooled OR cooled in still air.
Isothermal annealing ( Pusher type).
Cast link type continuous fed hardening and tempering furnace with oil quenching for light weight parts.
Hardening and tempering furnace (Tray quench type) for heavy parts with facility of tray quenching arrangement for avoiding damage to parts when it is hot.
All these furnaces are gas (LPG) fired which is drawn from a bulk storage facility established at EL Forge as part of its infrastructural facility. LPG as a heating medium is known for its good effects such as minimum scales and minimum surface oxidation during heating.
The Furnaces are controlled through an online 'SCADA' system for traceability and provide on line recording of data. The Heat treatment facilities are audited by the latest norms of AIAG and approved by the members of the group which include all tier 1 majors.
